Today, California Natives Fish For Peacock Bass- Lake Ida Delray Beach Florida. Delray Beach/Palm Beach County holds amazing fisheries for peacock and largemouth bass. The only issue is the peacock bass are more subject to temperature changes that occur as you go further North.
I had the pleasure to fish with Jason and Tara, who came all the way from California. This is the first time fishing Lake Ida, and we were on the hunt for peacock bass that live there. One of the better parts of Lake Ida is that it has residents around it. It always makes the fishing more interesting when you get to see the gorgeous real estate.
The weather was perfect with a slight breeze coming out of the east. The white puffy clouds kept us out of the sun all day. The skies were baby blue and we were ready to get on some of these south Florida peacock bass.
The Lake did not disappoint today producing several healthy fish. Jason and Tera were very impressed with the bite with right around 45 peacock and largemouth bass in the boat.
